Doha, Qatar – 24 July, 2013: RasGas Company Limited (RasGas) recently confirmed 44 Qatari trainees at a special ceremony held at the RasGas Training Centre. This brings the Company's total of confirmed national trainees under the Operations Group to 181.
The confirmed trainees received their Certificate-3 in the presence of RasGas Operations Group Qatarization Committee Chairman Fahad Al-Khater, the Operations Projects Department Manager, as well as other Committee members including Khalid Al-Hemaidi, Operations Manufacturing Department Manager, Omar Al-Misnad, Operations Maintenance Department Manager and Houd Al-Obaidly Operations Business Department Manager.
"RasGas is keen to achieve the overall development of its workforce and provide employees with opportunities to hone their skills in all areas of work on a regular basis," said Hamad Mubarak Al Muhannadi, RasGas Chief Operations Officer.
Al Muhannadi reiterated RasGas' unremitting commitment to the professional development of young Qataris who represent the future generation of the country's professionals and leaders.
The Operations Group's training scheme's reach has been on a steady rise. In 2008 the Competency Assurance and Training (CAT) division of the Operations Business Department managed 27 Qatari trainees; by 2012, the number had risen to 131 national trainees of which 38 were newly enrolled.
The Qatarization Committee also affirmed Al Muhannadi's stance for continuously developing trainees as well as emphasised the importance of safety at the workplace.
