Doha, Qatar - 11 October 2012: As the Gastech Conference and Exhibition draws to an end, the RasGas Company Limited’s (RasGas) delegation looks forward to reaping the benefits of their participation in the four-day industry event.
The delegation represented RasGas in meetings with industry counterparts; shared views on market developments, and showcased the company’s latest projects and best practices.

As a global energy supplier, our attendance in industry events such as Gastech allows us to explore opportunities with our current and potential customers; display the latest developments in our projects and share industry best practices with our peers," said Khalid Sultan R. Al Kuwari Marketing and Shipping Executive at RasGas.
Speaking on an executive leadership panel discussion entitled "Have We Entered the Golden Age for Gas?" on the inaugural day of the conference, Al Kuwari provided insights on the unprecedented scale of Qatar’s LNG production growth and what lies ahead for Qatar in the next five years.
On the second day of the conference, Engineer Ahmed Mohamed Tayeeb, Head of Venture Planning and Optimisation, delivered a presentation entitled "Successfully Executing the Barzan Gas Project". He showcased the magnitude of the joint venture project currently underway. Once on stream in 2014, the project will fuel and support the long-term sustainable development of the State of Qatar.
The Gastech conference and exhibition is held approximately once every 18 months. This is RasGas’ eighth consecutive participation in the industry event for which it is also a sponsor.
