Doha, Qatar – 7 April, 2013: Hard work, ambition, commitment, positivity, supportive parents and determination. All these are some of the many secrets for success shared at RasGas Company Limited's (RasGas) stand at the Qatar Career Fair (QCF) 2013.
As the curtain falls on the Qatar Career Fair (QCF), visitors flocking the RasGas stand have learned and shared with others how they define success. Summing it all up in a few words, visitors were given an opportunity to pose for a picture holding up their secret for success. The photos were then screened on loop at the stand for others to see and read.
In his visit to QCF on the third day of the fair, HE Dr Mohamed Al Sada, Minister of Energy and Industry, shared his secret: "Team work and dedication".
"Knowledge sharing is at the core of RasGas' approach for developing our employees whether through dedicated training sessions, exchange programmes or on-the-job learning. At QCF this year, we wished to extend this understanding to our visitors," said Erhama Al-Kaabi, Chief Employee Development and Welfare Officer at RasGas.
"The theme of this year's stand at QCF has proven to be a big hit amongst the visitors contributing to the overall success of our recruitment drive. We are looking forward to being part of the future success stories of those whom we engage in RasGas' internship, scholarship and employment schemes," he added.
RasGas has also released the secrets on the Twitter account of RasGas NDP (National Development Programme).
In addition to representing RasGas at the Fair, the Company offered a site visit to Ras Laffan Industrial City (RLIC) for Qataris who are keen to get an insight into some of the largest and most sophisticated LNG plants in the world. The visit will include a full-day guided tour of the facilities allowing students to see and experience first-hand how LNG, helium and sales gas are produced for the global and local markets. They will also learn about RasGas' high safety and environment standards that has won the company many awards.
RasGas was one of the first Qatari companies to participate in the QCF and has since recruited countless Qatari talent. Currently, about 33% of its total workforce is made up of Qataris. The Company's headquarters building is located in West Bay in Doha while all processing plants are at RLIC.
