Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR)

To strengthen this connection and provide a structured framework and long term plans for its corporate citizenship activities, RasGas launched its formal Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programme in March 2006.

RasGas has always believed in its responsibility to invest a proportion of its resources into the society in which it operates, and under the banner, ‘The Energy to Transform’ RasGas has committed funds to a wide range of educational, medical, cultural and environmental initiatives.

Some of RasGas' most recent CSR activities include:

• Sponsoring the 2006 Qatar National Cancer Society’s annual conference in Doha and holding a series of breast cancer awareness seminars in Al Khor Community
• Funding raising at the RasGas Pro-am Golf Tournament for Qatar Society for Rehabilitation of Special Needs
• Sponsoring an art and essay competition in junior schools
• Building a new sports venue for cricket in the Al Khor Community
